Coach Ski as he is called is in his 9th year in the Merrillville Program, and his 2nd year as Pirate Head Coach. He was the head coach at Blackford High School for 5 years, winning 100 games to only 49 losses. He teaches Television production at the High School.

Coach Starkey enters his second season with the Pirates as the varsity assistant coach. Starkey was a setter for his team at Boone Grove while in High School. He also is the 9th grade boys basketball coach.

Coach Warren returns to the staff as the freshman coach after taking a few years off to watch her daughter play for Merrillville (Melissa '09).
