Pierce Paint It Pink paint it pink

The Pierce Middle School Athletic Department will be hosting the 6th Annual “Paint it Pink” night on Wednesday February 12, 2015, during the girls’ 7th & 8th grade Girls’ Basketball games against River Forest.

The Paint it Pink night will help raise awareness and help fund important work of cancer research, free programs and services for cancer patients and caregivers, legislative advocacy efforts and education for early detection tests, as well as cancer prevention.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds, The Pierce Athletic Department will be hosting a variety of fundraising activities. Short sleeve cotton T-shirts will be sold for $10 and can be purchased in advance from the Pierce Athletic Office. Also, we will be selling paper cut-outs in honor or memory of loved ones who battled cancer. The cut-outs will be hung on the Pierce “Wall of Hope” outside of the main gymnasium.

During halftime of each game, players will be able to honor an individual close to them who has beaten cancer or battling cancer.

Proceeds will be donated to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
