Penny Parmley, Freshman Cafe Manager, was recently honored by the Merrillville Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees for her 45 YEARS of service in the school kitchens!

Mrs. Parmley, who is actually a 1971 MHS graduate, was hired on Nov. 1, 1977, as a cook in the high school. Throughout her tenure here, she also worked at Iddings and Salk Elementary Schools.

She has been the Summer Food Service Manager since 2008 and opened the new Freshman Kitchen in 2009! She is always planning great catering events and willing to provide treats at the last minute.
